Our Eye Doctors
Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision—many of which do not always have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses, both as eyeglass lenses and contact lenses.
Our optometrists take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet our doctors:
Dr. Karla Reimer
Karla Reimer grew up in southern Manitoba, except for a few years in Jamaica and Lesotho with her missionary parents. After high school she taught English in Egypt for a year. She returned to Winnipeg for her Science Degree, and graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1995 with her Doctor of Optometry degree. Since that time, caring for the vision and ocular health needs of her patients has become her passion. Spending quality time with each patient allows her to identify and address individual areas of concern, and to develop relationships on a more personal level. She has a long-term mandate to provide the community with the highest quality eye care through a professional team, dedicated to outstanding service.
Dr. Stephanie Strawn
Dr. Stephanie Strawn was born and raised in the small town of Canmore, Alberta. She began her University career at the University of Lethbridge, completing two years of pre-Optometry before continuing on to the University of Waterloo where she completed her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2007. She strives to deliver the highest standard of patient care while developing personal relationships and keeping current within optometry’s constantly evolving profession. The oldest of six children, she loves working with kids. She and her husband, Mike, are very excited to be living in the sunny Okanagan Valley and closer to some of their family.
